The City of Show Low is partnering with the Dove Self-Esteem Project to encourage girls, ages 10 to 14 years, to develop a positive relationship with beauty, raise their self-esteem and enable them to realize their full potential. Called “Girl Power,” Show Low’s program spans four Fridays in June and July (June 29, July 6, July 13 and July 20) from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Show Low City Campus Teen Center, 620 E. McNeil, for $25 per participant. Girls can gain confidence by understanding and dealing with feelings about their physical appearance through a variety of activities, games and interpersonal interaction. Healthy snacks will be provided.
Pre-registration is required. Register in person at the parks and recreation desk at Show Low City Hall or Family Aquatic.
